The development of infrastructure, logistics, innovation and investment issues of the fishing industry will be discussed at the round tables of the Congress.

A meeting of the working group on the preparation and holding of the Congress which will take place on September 3-5 was held under the guidance of the first vice-governor of the region Sergey Sopchuk, informed in the press-service of the Primorye Territory Administration.

The preparation of the Congress and the main topics of the round tables and plenary sessions were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that the preparation of the fishery forum is going due to the plan. The invitation list is being defined; the issues of major activities and guests’ accommodation are being solved. A large number of representatives of foreign countries - Spain, Denmark, Germany, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Canada and others - requires the participation of professional translators, interpreters.

Sergei Sopchuk emphasized that Congress and the specialized fishery exhibition became traditional and their level should improve from year to year.

Participants of the meeting identified the topics for discussion at the round tables. Institutes and the fishing industry infrastructure, the introduction of innovation and investment, sustainable water bio-resources, logistics development schemes become major issues that the guests of the Congress will discuss. Particular attention is given to the introduction of energy-saving technologies in the industry. It is connected with the rapid rise in fuel prices for a fishing fleet.
