The Governor's scholarship which is 1.5 thousand rubles monthly in addition to academic scholarships the best students of Primorye receive since 2005, the press service of the territorial administration informs. The initiative of the material support of initiative and successful young people belong to the Governor Sergei DARKIN. In his view, this welcomes not only the desire of young people to study well and actively participate in public life, but also attracts intellectual investment in the future of the region.

During the time of his project realization 40 million Rubles were allocated from the regional budget for the payment of gubernatorial scholarships to the best students. 20 million rubles were planned for the current budget year to encourage students.

Many municipalities of the region also got an opportunity to encourage students. For example, last year in Artem city district for this purpose has been allocated nearly 400 thousand rubles. This year scholarships of the city head were a present to the Day of Youth for 46 students of Artem.
