One of the themes of the upcoming forum is the energy potential of the Russian Far East

The discussion on "The energy and oil and gas potential of the Far East of Russia" will be held during the second Pacific Congress, the press service of the regional administration informs. According to the forum organizing committee the advisor of the vice-chairman of Gazprom Alexei Mastepanov will speak with the report on the prospects for development of gas industry on the East of Russia.

The leading experts in the field of global energy are invited to participate in the discussion. The deputy chairman of the Institute of Economic research of Northeast Asia (Japan) Hirofumi ARAI and the member of the board of directors of Toyo Engineering Corporation Kuwahara SATOSHI confirmed their participation.

The program of discussion includes the discussion of oil and gas projects, cooperation prospects of Japanese companies in the development of oil and gas complex of Eastern Siberia and the Far East of Russia, Russia’s energy cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

The second Pacific Economic Congress will be held at the initiative of Governor Sergei DARKIN on July 26-27. The motto of the Congress is "Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific - from cooperation to integration".

The main task of the Congress is the organization of an international centre of communication of representatives of Russian and foreign business, academia and government structures on the multilateral cooperation of Russia with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, discussion of effective mechanisms for public-private partnership in joint investment projects.

The plenary session “Resources of the future”, where the strategy of socio-economic development of Primorye Territory till 2025 and the long-term development strategy for Russia will be presented, is in the program of the congress.
