The Third International Environmental Forum "Nature without Borders" will focus on effective environmental management.
The third international ecological forum “Nature without borders” will be held in Vladivostok on November 12-13, the press service of Primorye Territory Administration informs. As reported in a regional management of environment protection, active preparations to the event are being conducted now. The program of the forum and the themes of the sections and round tables are already defined, a list of participants is being formed.
The initiative of holding of such large-scale environmental forum belongs to the Governor of the region Sergei DARKIN. The Governor is confident that the preservation of the natural environment of Primorye region can only be reached by the joint efforts of government, business, environmental organizations and society.
International Forum will bring together leading ecologists of Russia and abroad for the third time. According to the specialists, the first event was academic in nature; the forum of the last year has become more applied. The major environmental problems and methods to solve them were determined in its resolution.
The forum of 2008 will bring a new challenge. It will focus on effective environmental management. The questions of the ecological condition of the coastal marine area, rational usage of water, the preservation and increase of forests and the international cooperation in the utilization of radioactive objects, problems of surface pollution of the coastal marine area are on the agenda of the forum. Ecologists will also sum up the results of previous forums at the third international environmental forum "Nature Without Borders".
This year the event will be attended by more than 700 people. The representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations of Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, China, DPRK, U.S., known Russian and foreign scientists-ecologists, managers of large enterprises are invited to attend the forum.
