The new modern electric train that is able to overcome the distance from Vladivostok to Ussuriisk in an hour has arrived to the Vladivostok department of the Far Eastern railways.
The governor Sergey Darkin took part in the ceremony of new electric train’s launch.
“I’m very much obliged to the leaders of the Far Eastern Railways and its Vladivostok department for the help in the realization of the very important project on development of the South of Primorye – The Big Vladivostok. One of the main roles plays the creation of the net of speed electric trains that will make Vladivostok, Ussuriisk and Artem nearer. This will undoubtedly give an impulse for the development of the economy of the south of Primorye” – said Sergey Darkin.
The governor noted that constructive partner relations on the development of Primorye are built between the administration of the region and the Russian Railways. The construction of the high-speed railways Vladivostok-Airport, Vladivostok-Ussuriisk, Vladivostok-Nakhodka is planned within the limits of the Russian Railways’ investment program.
The new electric train will be able to transport 2400 people at a time. For the last 3 years 6 new electric trains were put into exploitation in Primorye. Two new electric trains of high comfort “Ussuri” and “Primorochka” have successfully recommended it selves. Another modern high-speed electric train will arrive in Primorye by the end of the year.
