The International Congress of Fishermen will be working in Vladivostok on the 3-5 of September.

The representatives of the fishing community of Russia and foreign countries will come together for the sixth time in Primorye to discuss the most urgent problems of the industry, identify common solutions and exchange experience.

Primorye Territory Administration, the State Committee of Fisheries of the Russian Federation, the Association of Fishworkers of Primorye and Pollock miners are among the organizers of Congress. The main theme of the upcoming forum is the organization of the stock exchange of fish products on Russian territory.

To recap, the representatives of the fishery business world are gathering in Vladivostok for five years already. During the congresses professionals exchange ideas and develop concrete proposals for the development of the industry. Decisions adopted at the forums are reflected in the laws. For example, issue of empowering enterprises with long term was repeatedly raised in forums. Recently, it was decided to maintain the principle of equity in giving quotas to companies for the catch - for a 10 years period.

Program of the congress turned out to be full of diverse activities. This time it promises to be no less busy. It is planned to hold a plenary meeting, roundtables on several fronts, seminars. Also the International Exhibition "Pacific Future Fishery-2008" where the fish products from the world leading producers will be presented will be held at the congress.

The next International Congress of the fishermen called to continue the dialogue between the fishery parties of Russia and foreign countries on major issues and the prospects for development of fisheries.

According to experts, the congress will promote the development of a civilized and transparent trade of fish products, a fair market price for fish, as well as improving the quality of products and services.
