Russia and Japan are satisfied with the dynamic development of their trade, economic contacts and investments, a Russian Foreign Ministry official said summing up the results of Tuesday’ s meeting between the Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Denisov and Chairman of the Japanese-Russian Committee for Economic Cooperation Kunio Anzai.
The interlocutors pointed to “the importance of interaction between businessmen of the two countries in the machine-building, oil and gas refining, transport development and high technologies,” the official said.
Denisov and Anzai agreed that “the adoption of Russia’s targeted program entitled Economic and Social Development of Far East and Trans-Baikal region in the period up to 2013, opens new possibilities for further enhancement of the Russian-Japanese business cooperation,” the official said.
