Primorye Territory
Primorye has started to build rail infrastructure for the pipeline "Eastern Siberia - the Pacific Ocean."
As indicated in the management of transport of Primorye Territory the projecting of objects and drawing up the documentation on allotment of land for construction. Before releasing of the second stage of the pipeline the raw materials to the terminal of the oil port of the Kozmino bay will be transported by rail. This requires the transport of 15 million tons of oil per year from Skovorodino (the ultimate point of the first stage of the pipeline) to the Harbour in Kozmino.
The railway will be laid to Kozmino Bay via the "Hmylovsky" station. In order to ensure the movement of trains on the section between stations of "Kuznetsovo” and “Hmylovsky" second access roads to the passing, additional railway bridge over the river Partizanskuya and rail junctions
where the tracks diverge to Nakhodka and port “Vostochniy” and multilevel overbridge junction will be erected. It will be the second way to the station "Hmylovsky." In order to strengthen the capacity of the processing the station will be also reconstructed. In particular the receiving and starting railways will be extended.
The railway to the oil port Kozmina is planned to be opened by the end of 2009. The department of transport of Primorye Territory emphasize that the new rail line will add further impetus to the development of the Primorye’s economy. According to the prognosis of the specialists in the the freight turnover of Primorye Territory will be increased, new businesses and jobs will be opened.
Governor Sergei Darkin said that the pipeline "Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean” is one of the key projects for the effective development of the region, including social spheres, as well as the building of houses, kindergartens and other critical facilities.
