An exhibition “Russian America” is opening on July, 20 at 5 pm. It is timed to the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between Russia and USA.
People of Primorye will get acquainted with main tendencies of Russian art of the 1960-1990 periods. More than 40 art and graphic works of artists whose names have become in phenomenon in the world’s culture are represented in exposition. The legacy of Mark Shagal, Mikhail Shemyakin, Genrikh Khudyakov, Ernst Neizvestny, Oleg Vasilyev, Yury Kuper and other Russian emigrants equally belongs to both countries because America has become their second motherland. Organizers of the exhibition consider this art-project to be a good reason to remember those significant events, cultural and historical connections that unite people of Russia and USA. The exhibition will work till 9th September.
