Earlier the authorities had feared that this object of the APEC-2012 summit could be reduced

Opera and Ballet Theater on Cape Churkin in Vladivostok, which refers to the objects of the APEC-2012 summit, to be built. This was said by the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District vice-governor of Primorye Yury LIHOYDA at the meeting on the status of preparations for the APEC-2012 summit in Vladivostok. A contest for the definition of a contractor who will begin construction of the theater was hed on July, 31.

After the meeting the Governor of Primorye Sergei Darkin also assured journalists that all the objects of the summit will be financed, including Opera and Ballet Theater.

A theater building is planned to be constructed in the area of the end of the bridge crossing of the Golden Horn Bay at the Fastivskaya Street. There’ll be 2 comfortable halls equipped with the most modern stage equipment. The underground parking is planned to be included.
