A meeting of regional parliament chairman Viktor Gorchakov with a delegation of the Japan Bank of International Cooperation took place in the Legislative Assembly of Primorye Territory.

As the leader of the delegation Mr. Satoshi Sasaki has informed that the Japanese companies have shown interest in investing capital in Russia, and the visit of the bank representatives to Primorye associated with the study of the conditions for financing projects in the forestry and wood processing industries.

The main objective of the Japan Bank of International Cooperation, established by the government of the country is the support of the overseas directions of the Japanese business. "We support the export activities of Japanese companies; credit the joint Russian-Japanese business. The recent example of bank lending activities in Russia is for example the funding for a major glass manufacturing company in St. Petersburg, and one of the major cellular operators" -- said Mr. Satoshi Sasaki.

The bank is paying much attention to the financing of projects that are related to the import of natural resources necessary for Japan, the development of mining and processing enterprises on the territory of Russia. The allocation of credits for woodworking enterprises is a new direction of the Bank. It is expected that his first partner in Primorye will be the “Terneyles” Company interested in expanding their production capacities for deep processing of timber.
