The food industry is successfully developing in Primorye. Since the beginning of the year the enterprises of food and processing industry of the region produced goods worth 2.7 billion roubles.

The best results recorded in the production of meat and meat products (15 per cent growth), vegetable oils and fats (17 per cent), and beverages (16 per cent). As reported in the Department of Agriculture and Food of Primorye Territory, meat products are in good demand among the citizens of Primorye. In particular, it concerns meat, sausages and semi-finished meat products the technology of which the local manufacturers are improving all the time.

Positive dynamics is observed in the processing and canning of fish and seafood. It’s 1.5 times higher than in last year.

According to experts, in recent years the production of local business is confidently displacing imported goods. The manufacturers of Primorye are applying new technologies and modern equipment, improve production and use environment friendly raw materials. The businesses of Primorye are more often becoming laureates at the All-Russian contest "100 best products of Russia" - the jury higly appreciates the quality of our products.
