A fishing schooner has run aground at the Cape of Krilion on the Sakhalin Island.
According to the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk maritime rescue centre, this happened at 02:10 local time on Tuesday.

The Atlas rescue boat has left the port of Korsakov to help seafarers.
The schooner’s crew includes nine members. There is no threat to their lives.
According to preliminary information, no fuel spill and no water leak problem have been registered so far, as the schooner’s hull is not breached or damaged.
On August 16, another two vessels – a fishing schooner and the Spokoiny transport refrigerator – went aground. The schooner was heavily damaged and was tugged to Korsakov for repairs. The refrigerator needed no repair works.
