Fishermen of Primorye caught out more than 330 thousand tons of water bio resources This is 10 percent more than last year's level.

According to the Fisheries Management of the Region, on June, 1 this year, coastal fishermen have mastered more than 275 thousand tons of pollock, 25 thousand tons of herring, 3 300 tons of cod, 3 200 tons of flounder, 2 500 tons of halibut and 3 200 tons of squid. In addition, nearly 2900 tons of crab was produced.

Good results the fishing companies of the region have shown in the extraction of marine delicacies. So were caught 330 tons of spisula, 430 tons of whelk, and 1500 tons of northern shrimp.

Most active fishing is on the Northern Kurils (squid), East Sakhalin (pollack), west of the Bering Sea subzone (pollack, and halibut) and Northern subzone of the Sea of Ohotsk (crab, halibut, pollack, and trumpet). On June 8, there are 88 fishing boats from Primorye at sea.
