An international fishermen congress will start its work in Vladivostok on September, 3-5. The representatives of fishing community from Russia and other countries will gather for the 6th time in Primorye to discuss the most urgent problems of the industry, identify common solutions and exchange experience.

The main theme of the upcoming forum is the organization of the Stock Exchange of fish products on Russian territory.



To recap, the world's fishing business representatives are gathering in Vladivostok for already five years. During the congresses the professionals exchange ideas and develop concrete proposals for the development of the industry. Decisions accepted at the forums are reflected in the laws. For example, the issue of empowering of the enterprises with long period quotas was repeatedly raised in forums. Recently, it was decided to maintain the principle of equity in giving catch quotas to the companies for a period of 10 years.



Program of the congress turned out to be full of diverse activities. This time it promises to be no less busy. It is planned to hold a plenary meeting, roundtables on several fronts, seminars. Also an International Exhibition "Pacific Future Fishery-2008" will be held at the congress, where fish and sea products from the world's leading producers will be presented.



The next International Congress of the fishermen called to continue the dialogue between the participants of fishery from Russia and foreign countries on major issues and the prospects for development of fishery.



According to experts, the congress will promote the development of a civilized and transparent trade in fish products, a fair market price for fish, as well as improving the quality of products and services.
