More than 800 mln roubles will be directed for the construction of the concert-sport complex in the Minniy gorodok Park in Vladivostok within this year. The construction of this long waited object will start in closest time.

The winner of the contest on the construction and installation works conduction became the KFK building company. About 150 million roubles were already transferred to the contractor for the beginning of the construction works and metalwork purchase. About 700 million roubles will be provided for the construction of the sport complex in 2008 besides the main sum.
The sports-and-concert complex will be constructed in the Mingorodok Park by the initiative of the governor of Primorye Territiry Sergey Darkin. The project of the functional building was made by the specialists of the “Primorgrazhdanproekt” jointly with the colleagues from Finland.
The concert-and-sport complex will include two ice arenas on each of which hockey matches will be conducted. If the necessity comes the arenas are combined in one large field for skating contests on various distances. Besides that the arena may be re-equipped to the concert and exhibition ground.
The improvement of the adjacent territory is also planned. The concert-and-sport complex will become another center of cultural and sports leisure time in region. The construction of the complex will revive the Park of Mingorodok and will return it a status of one of the favourite vacation spots for citizens of the city.
In governor’s opinion the construction of the ice arena will help the development of winter sports in Vladivostok. Professional sportsmen and all citizens will be able to train at the new sport complex.
