Primorye Territory
The contract for the construction, valued at 18 billion rubles, will be concluded soon.
The competition for the construction of a bridge across the Golden Horn Bay was recently summarized in the department of road economy, informed in the press service of Primorye Territory Administration. The Pacific bridge building Company (TMK) from Primorye has won the competition.
As the head of department, Leonid VILCHINSKY, a contract with the company will be concluded in few days. The value of the contract is some 17.9 billion rubles in prices at the time of entering of the facility into operation. In addition to TMK in the construction of the facility will participate a group of enterprises including Khabarovsk “Dalmostostroy" and "Primavtodor" and several other organizations of the region.
The start of the bridge construction is scheduled on July 2008. It is planned to put the facility in operation in December 2011.
The governor of Primorye Territory Sergey DARKIN puts a task to use the local domestic resources of Primorye at maximum while constructing the bridges across the Golden Horn Bay and the Bosphorus Strait. Local enterprises can ensure the supplement of gravel and stone. Russian companies will provide metal. In addition, all subsequent assembly of constructions will be held in Primorye. Since the cable-stayed design for the bridge is not produced in Russia, they will be purchased in South Korea, Japan or France.
Leonid Wilczynski stressed that the bridge across the Golden Horn Bay is a unique object. Its span will be 737 meters, the length of the entire facility is around 1 thousand 900 meters and the bridge tower in height reaches 220 meters. Construction also includes a tunnel in the city, with four lanes. The experience of primorye’s, Russian and foreign builders will be used in the construction of such a large-scale facility.
In addition, a four-step quality monitoring is provided: from the contracting organization, the customer, the designer to an independent engineering company. "All this will allow to build a bridge, according to all technical standards and regulations," said the Head of the roads economy department. The bridge will be a business card of Vladivostok, not only functional but also very beautiful structure.
