Construction of Rehabilitation department of Children’s Oncologic Hematology Center will be completed in May of the present year. Governor Sergey Darkin declared this after his visit to the construction site.

«On the 1st of June, on the Children’s Day, we shall receive the first patients who need rehabilitation after the hard treatment», - the Governor said. Sergey Darkin pointed out that children all over Primorsky krai will be able to take a course of rehabilitation there.

Rehabilitation Center is being built in the green zone of Vladivostok suburb, in the pollution-free area, that is especially important for recovery of children. 30 children together with parents will be able to take treatment there at the same time. Modern laboratory diagnostic and physiotherapy equipment, training apparatuses for physiotherapy exercises have been purchased for the hospital. The building will be equipped with a swimming-pool, and the adjacent territory will be planted with trees and bushes.

The construction of the rehabilitation hospital for children with oncologic and hematological problems in Vladivostok has been carrying on since 2002. Initially the project contractor was the administration of Vladivostok, but financing was insufficient. Since November 2006 the administration of Primorsky krai was appointed as the state contractor of the construction. Already in 2007 there was allotted 20 million rubles from the regional budget and 37 million rubles from the regional development fund for the construction of the hospital. More than 18 million rubles were allotted from the regional budget additionally. This enabled the project to be removed from the category of «protracted building».
