The possibility of the air-rescue unit is being considered in Primorye.

A session of the regional committee on the traffic security under the presidency à the vice-governor Pavel Popov took place at the Administration of Primorye Territory. The representatives of the Primorye Administration and GIBDD took part in the session.

The main theme of discussion was the increase of the security on the railroad crossings. The results of inspections of the railways condition for the first six months of 2008 were announced. More than 300 of such objects were tested. The information on the emergency and problem railroad crossings revealed during the inspection was sent to the railroaders and to the relevant bodies of executive power.

In addition the regional committee has supported the proposal of the EMERCOM of Russia on the usage of the small aviation to rescue the victims of the road accidents on federal roads. Thus, the possibility of establishing air-rescue units to provide operational assistance on the roads of Primorye, in particular, the federal highway M-60 (“Ussuri") was considered.
