The first bio-technological park of Primorye will appear in the Lazovsky area on the shore of the Kievka Bay.

The choice of location is not accidental, reported in the management of fisheries of the region. The scientific, educational and production complex that will become the basis for the creation of the bio-technological park is successfully working for several years. It will include the mariculture center “Zapovednoye”, scientific base of FESU, shop for the invertebrates cultivation of the Preobrazhensky fish combine and other existing mariculture enterprises.

The environmental potential of the Kievka bay is also unique. It is an ecologically clean area and traditional spawning place for the salmon fish.

Among the organizers are the “TINRO-center”, Far Eastern State University, OAO “Preobrazhenskaya Trawl Fleet base”, JSC “Preobrazhenskiy fish combine” with the support of the regional administration.

The head of the Department of Fisheries of the region Igor Uleysky noted that the main objective of this project is the integration of high technologies. It is about the perspective species of the fish and sea products, development of the latest production and scientific technologies, preparation of the stuff for the fishery complex of Russia’s Primorye.
The organizers in the first place are planning to set to the development of the marine aquaculture enterprises with the usage of the most contemporary methods and the cultivation of the hydrobiontes. The increase of the fry hidrobiontes cultivation capacities, the expansion of the plantations of scallops, mussels, kelp, sea urchins and laminaria and creation of the sites on the processing of aquaculture products at the Preobrazhenskiy Combine.

According to the experts the bio-technological park will become a unique solutions center for a wide variety of issues - research, production, training, a platform for the development and implementation of innovative projects.
