American actress Olympia Dukakis has confirmed her participation in the film festival “Pacific Meridian”.

As Deita.RU agency was informed in the festival organization committee the “Oskar” owner and world celebrity will arrive to Vladivostok with the movie “Away from her” in which she plays a second plan role. Actress arrives to Primorye’s capital from New York where she teaches drama in City University and will stay in Russia for 8 days.
The history of Olympia’s success causes respect. Daughter of Greek immigrants and therapist by education she started to act in movies in the age of 33. She achieved real success in the age of 56 when she was awarded with the prize of American movie academy and “Golden Globe” for the second plan role in Norman Jewison’s romantic comedy “Moonstruck” in 1987. After that she continued to act in popular films and took part in such movies as “Naked Gun”, “Steel Magnolias”, “Mr. Holand’s Opus” and “Look Who Talks”. All her filmography includes more than 80 works.
